The Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center is home to an adult female fox who serves as a surrogate mother to young wild foxes receiving care at the facility. She has helped raise multiple groups of young kits that were successfully released back to the wild. It is never a guarantee that unrelated kits will be accepted, so we slowly introduce them to watch their interactions. The female fox raised two kits in the summer of 2026. The young foxes learned invaluable skills from her and were recently released back to the wild in an appropriate habitat.
