Live video from Behind the scenes animal enclosure at the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center at Penitentiary Glen camera
This adult male fox was being treated for mange. Mange is a parasite that lives in the hair follicles and makes animals' fur fall out. Advanced cases can weaken an animal's immune system and make them very weak and emaciated. Luckily with proper treatment and supportive care, this fox is on his way to recovery. His fur is growing back, he is gaining weight and getting stronger every day. He will be ready to be released back into the wild in a short time.
